Aya is exceptional at building momentum and collaboration between often disparate groups of stakeholders. She facilitates multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups to take ownership of opportunities for change, to deliver improvements in complex environments and ultimately to make substantive improvements to customer outcomes. She does this with grace, a steadfast hand, unflappable good spirits and a creative and enthusing energy. She is a pleasure to work with, to work for and to have as a member of any team I lead.

I have worked with Aya Ferguson of Mahout Change on two projects over the last year and I recommend her very highly.   One project was a major relocation exercise, with significant impacts on our working practices creating a need for careful change management.    The second project was a smaller assessment of recent experiences and learnings from a significant increase in student numbers.    On both projects, Aya has acted as a change-manager, a facilitator, and a discussion-moderator for real-world and virtual discussions.

Aya is a superb change-management consultant.  She has both the conceptual analytical skills and the emotional intelligence needed to quickly understand complex issues, and the ability to assess people’s emotional and intellectual motivations and responses.   She reads people, groups and situations very well, a skill that is not nearly as common as analytical intelligence, yet which is crucial for effective management and change management.

Aya is warm, friendly and outgoing, and and she generally has a calming influence on situations.  She has been a pleasure to work with, and I recommend her very strongly.

Head of Department of Informatics, King's College London

“Aya has exceptional Programme Management skills and builds strong relationships with Project team members. At London 2012 Aya was responsible for providing senior Project Management support for a number or competition Venues and had Project Managers as direct reports. Aya would be a valuable senior member for any organisation“.

– Karl Reader, London 2012

“Always full of energy and enthusiasm, Aya was a great asset to have on a team. As well as her business knowledge her willingness to get involved in extra-curricula aspects of work was of great benefit. Cake Wednesday would never have got off the ground without her!”
